Center exchanges experience with the Latin American public on China's epidemic prevention
On March 30, 2020, the conference was organized by the Kauka Valley Provincial University Innovation Network (RUPIV). The conference co-organized by the Center on the theme of “Understanding Isolation at Home from Chinese Experience” was held online. The center’s co-director, Dr. Luo Xun, and the center’s activity secretary Gustavo Almoia shared quarantine and epidemic prevention experience to the world online, and received good results.
The situation of Colombia’s New Coronary Pneumonia epidemic is severe, with the number of single-digit cases in February soaring to thousands of cases. In March, Colombia issued a national family order. Faced with the largest epidemic situation since World War II and corresponding epidemic prevention measures, the public should understand and adapt as soon as possible. Dr. Luo Xun briefed the participants on China’s experience in epidemic prevention. He said: “In the face of the epidemic, we should do a good job in epidemic monitoring, investigation, and early warning, and effectively achieve early detection, early reporting, early isolation, and early treatment. The Chinese people and Colombia Together, the people will overcome the virus and overcome the difficulties together.”
