Didi Travel is the world’s leading travel service provider. In September 2019, the intelligent network interconnection laboratory Cali (hereinafter referred to as the “center”) coordinated and docked with the San Diego Cali University delegation to visit Didi Chuxing’s corporate headquarters in Beijing, China, and established a work with the Didi Technology Cooperation Department contact.

In October 2019, Didi Travel officially entered Colombia for business development and rapid development, including taxi calling business in Bogotá and shared travel business in other cities. On February 19, 2020, the center organized a visit to Didi Chuxing Colombia in Bogota. The research team includes Dr. Luo Xun, the co-director of the Center, Professor Andres Navarro Newball, Academic Committee, Assistant Professor Carlos Andres Garzon, Academic Committee, and Professor Ricardo Arce, a research fellow of the Center’s cooperation project. Didi Chuxing Colombia’s operations director, government relations director and marketing director received the research team.

Participants of Didi Chuxing Colombia introduced the overall situation of Didi Chuxing and its operations in Latin America, and expressed the expectation of more in-depth communication and exchanges with the local academic community. The research team introduced the basic situation of the center and the key objectives of the work in 2020. The two sides had a full and lively discussion on the possibility of various future cooperation methods.
