From June 10 to 11, 2021 International Industry-University-Research-use Cooperation Conference was held in Green Platinum Hotel, Nanchang International Expo City, Jiangxi Province. The conference is guided by the Ministry of Education and the People’s Government of Jiangxi Province, hosted by the Center for School Planning, Construction and Development of the Ministry of Education, and hosted by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education, Nanchang University and Nanchang Hangkong University.
The forum aims to fully implement the national “Belt and Road” “innovation-driven development” and other strategic layout, focus on new development concepts, jointly build academic exchanges and scientific and technological cooperation platforms for new materials, aerospace and rare earth disciplines, and promote exchanges and cooperation among universities, enterprises and research institutes. Among the six sub-forums, Nanchang University held four sub-forums, including “Ultra-high temperature Materials and Equipment”, “New Material Manufacturing and Equipment”, “New Generation Electronic Information Materials and Technology” and “Advanced Manufacturing and High-Value Application of rare earth New Materials”.

On August 22 last year, Nanchang University, China Rare Earth Society and China Rare Earth Industry Association jointly held the International Summit on the Balanced Utilization of High Abundance and High Value rare Earth, which had a great impact on the rare earth industry. This year, the provincial government and the Department of Education took the rare Earth Forum as one of the three themes of the 2021 International Industry-University-Research-Use Cooperation Conference, organized by Nanchang University and co-organized by China Society of Rare Earth and Jiangxi University of Science and Technology.
The conference has set up six sub-sessions, of which the rare Earth Forum has the largest number of people and the largest venue. Rare earth experts from around the world and Chinese scholars gathered together to build an international platform for academic exchange and interaction on rare earth. The report invitation of this rare earth forum mainly focuses on the high value application of rare earth, with emphasis on the material application. A presentation on the evening of June 10, focusing on the application of rare earth magnetic materials, polishing materials and catalytic materials; On the morning of June 11, the Seminar on advanced manufacturing and high-value Application of rare earth new materials between China and South Korea was held.。
Through this meeting, we shared new progress and achievements in the field of rare earth, brokered a bridge for future industry-university-research-application cooperation, facilitated some deeper cooperation, and made new contributions to the high-quality development of the rare earth industry.
