To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Colombia, and the arrival of the Blue Tiger Ambassador. The Chinese Embassy in Colombia hosted a reception on January 22, 2020. The center was invited to participate in this event, including Dr. Claudia Zunigo, co-director of the center, Dr. Luo Xun, co-director of the center, and Oscar Canyego Gomos, vice president of the University of Santiago Cali.

Ambassador Blue Tiger, Counselor Xu Wei, Counselor Zhu Xiaoyan, and Colombian Minister of Culture Carmen Ines Vazquez Camacho listened to the introduction of the recent work progress by the participants of the center, expressed their satisfaction and encouraged them. Participants of the center also sent an invitation to the representatives of Chinese students studying in Colombia, hoping that they can visit Cali, a city full of cultural traditions and modern technological vitality, while in Colombia.
