China Computer Federation (CCF) was founded as a member of the China Association of Science and Technology in 1962 with the aim of promoting the progress of computational research, education, industry and applications in various areas in China, due to its growing membership.  As of 2019, CCF has 36 specialized committees, 12 working committees and 32 local activity centers for members. The society is highly influential in China for its voices and member experts’ opinions.

On May 16, 2020, Connected Universal Experiences Labs Cali (“the Center” in the folllowing text), through its program secretary Mr. Gustavo Adolfo Alomia, had the opportunity to work together with the Young Computer Scientists & Engineers Forum (YOCSEF), a specialized committee of the CCF that aims to “assume social responsibility and develop the competence of members”. CCF YOCSEF Chengdu held the Flagship event “Emei Forum”, gathering more than one hundred academics and entrepreneurs from all sectors of society to discuss talent cultivation in colleges and universities. For the Center, joining forces with CCF in such important events represents a memorable occasion.

On this occasion, Mr. Gustavo Alomia was invited as a panelist to present at the “Emei Forum”, where he has presented the results of the association between Santiago de Cali University and Tianjin University of Technology that through of the Center’s student mobility programs has enabled several USC students to continue their postgraduate studies on the Asian continent.

As Gustavo mentioned during his talk, Santiago de Cali University has shown its support for international mobility programs and, in addition, has promoted the dissemination of knowledge through linkage programs between the University and its students through support programs such as “Renerational Relief ” of which our speaker has been joined.

Gustavo also mentioned in his talk how some subjects were shared at the beginning of some scientific career in USC and how this strengthens the interdisciplinarity of his students, he emphasized the research hotseeds offered by the university where students have the opportunity to start their projects degree as well as strengthening many knowledge areas, expanding its network of contacts and thus creating opportunities for a future academic or employment relationship with international companies or universities as well as those belonging to the region.

Connected Universal Experiences Labs promotes the spread of knowledge and plans to maintain these relationships on a constant basis, thus strengthening relations between Colombia and China.
