On November 19, Chinese and Brazilian politicians and businessmen gathered in the cloud to explore the evolution of people’s production and life toward digitalization, virtualization and convenience, and exchanged views on China-Brazil digital economy cooperation. China’s digital economy ranks among the largest in the world and is moving toward a new stage of deepening application and inclusive sharing, Jin said. Brazil is also actively promoting its Industry 4.0 plan and accelerating the development of key areas of the digital economy such as 5G communications, low-carbon agriculture and smart cities. China is ready to sypergize its digital economy development strategies with Brazilian , explore cooperation in emerging areas such as e-commerce, digital payment, digital tourism and distance education, and enhance the digital capacity building of the two countries and the digital level of China-Brazilian cooperation, so as to empower China-Brazilian cooperation at a higher level, with higher quality and higher efficiency.
Professor Luo Xun of Tianjin University of Technology was invited to attend and said that with the continuous progress of science and technology, the two sides can strengthen cooperation, seize the opportunity in the new wave of technological revolution, explore new prospects for cooperation in the new model of economic development, strengthen the docking of digital development strategies, promote the integrated development of virtual economy and real economy, and strengthen cooperation between universities, research institutions and scientific and technological enterprises. We will raise the level of social development and our capacity for modern governance.
The Ministry of Commerce of China and the Ministry of Economy of Brazil agreed to actively explore the signing of a memorandum of Understanding on investment cooperation in the digital economy, and jointly promote the deep integration of bilateral investment cooperation and the digital economy. The Ministry of Science and Technology of China and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of Brazil agreed to promote the negotiation and signing of memorandums of understanding in the field of science and technology, deepen China-Brazil cooperation in science and technology and innovation, and expand channels for practical cooperation. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of Brazil agreed to carry out industrial and supply chain cooperation and deepen digital technology exchanges between China and Brazil.
