In 2009, SuperMap achieved a major milestone by becoming the first GIS software company to be listed on the Chinese stock exchange. Today, SuperMap ranks among the top three GIS platform manufacturers worldwide.
On April 24, at the facilities of the Universidad Santiago de Cali, a significant meeting was held with prominent members of SuperMap LATAM. During this event, General Manager Pedro Tian gave a technical and enlightening talk. In his presentation, Dr. Pedro Tian not only presented SuperMap’s software products, but also highlighted the various uses and benefits they offer to organizations and urban planning. It was an invaluable opportunity to learn first-hand about SuperMap’s innovation and potential in the field of geographic information systems.
After the talk, SuperMap representatives, along with Connected Labs’ Director of Operations, Gustavo Adolfo Alomía, toured the most outstanding areas of the campus. During this visit, they explored the labs and new facilities at USC. Finally, Dr. Claudia Zuñiga, Director of the General Directorate of Research, met with the guests to discuss issues related to the acquisition and licensing of SuperMap as a software tool for USC.
